5 days ago, the 3.5.9.8 version (A) was released for Windows users:
Today there were more changes committed to the master branch (this is still versioned as 3.5.9.8: let me call this (B) version) which also benefit Linux users.
Before we continue, a note first:
Here some pics of the new features in (B):
"ResearchSubsidy is the amount one would receive for research (excluding interest + fees) if you were to stake at that moment." (further info here)
And some more info in getblock/getblockhash:
Here are some more "appetizers":
OK, you got curious and wanna use (B) ?
- You have Windows? Please upgrade to that new version, since it helps the superblock creation
- I call this version (A), because it was officially released!

Before we continue, a note first:
- as always, first make a !backup... you never know what kind of bugs are sleeping in new versions
- a few users are running version (B) already since at least a few hours, and they can: stake blocks, no crashes happened, CPU/RAM seems in normal levels, ...
- this is no call for all users to upgrade now to (B)... but: if you wanna help, you could self-compile (B) and give some feedback. I'm sure someone could also make some compiled versions (also for Windows).

And some more info in getblock/getblockhash:
Here are some more "appetizers":
- fix spontaneous high CPU usage
- fixes for block staking
- removed newbie boost
- code cleanup
- fix lots of languages/translations
- read more in the changelog
OK, you got curious and wanna use (B) ?
- Go ahead ;-)
- Feedback appreciated in bugtracker, IRC, slack, telegram (can be accessed via IRC also), ...
